At present, for micro-textured tools, the determination of micro-texture placement area depends on derivation cutting geometric model. The distribution form applies methods, and research methods accuracy are limited. Therefore, in this paper, ball-end milling cutter is taken as object. Based fractal theory, morphology tool before after wear compared to determine tool–chip contact area. uniform-density model established using uniform point theorem, synergistic mechanism edge revealed. strength with density under action studied by simulation.
